  • Scott is a 20 year veteran in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency. He began his journey fabricating and deploying solar powered off-grid data collection systems for the FAA with Dr. John Fagan at the University of Oklahoma. While working for Dr. Fagan, Scott helped found the Environmental Studies degree program, and then went on to become a RESNET certified energy rater and consultant after graduating in 2005. Next, he joined Bergey Windpower Co. where he learned to design and install renewable energy projects, including off-grid hybrid systems for remote critical load applications. After three years of technical sales, and project development, he was promoted to sales manager. Scott lobbied the U.S. Congress on behalf the Distributed Wind Energy Association to ensure that the “small wind,” energy industry had clear and concise regulation from Washington, DC. In 2013, Scott left Bergey to form Delta Energy and Design, and later Delta Energy Solar where he continues to work in developing distributed solar and wind energy projects. Delta specializes in development, analytics, project management, as well as custom manufacturing of domestically made solar racking. Scott recently partnered with Siva Powering America to expand opportunities in distributed wind markets. In addition to work, Scott is a committed husband, father, musician, and car enthusiast.

 
 


  • Engineering

    Tod began his career in renewable energy in 1991. While in engineering school at the University of Oklahoma, he built solar powered cars that he then drove across the U.S. and Australia. After graduation, he spent four years working as an engineer for General Motors in Detroit. Tod then decided to return to Oklahoma and welcomed the opportunity to design a 50kW small wind turbine for Bergey Windpower. For over twenty years, Tod has worked to design leading technology in the small wind industry. After co-founding Delta Energy Design, Tod now focuses on designing innovative, cost effective and multi-functional solar solutions.
